A gentle daily pause, in the form of art
lifestill is a small, calm gallery built for everyday wellbeing — a few unhurried minutes with a single work, whenever the day asks for it. No feed, no selling, no performance. Just art, met slowly.
Every piece in our collection is timeless, calm, and meaningful. No trends, no loud work, no busy scenes. We only choose work that holds silence, invites reflection, and feels right in a quiet space.
If you have ever stood in a quiet gallery or museum, you know that feeling: the hush, the space, the way you can just be with a work of art. You might feel something, remember something, think something — and that is enough. It is a private conversation between you and the work.
But as soon as art moves to a screen, that feeling sometimes disappears.
Art deserves more than a feed
Most places online surround a work with facts you didn’t ask for, opinions, prompts to buy, and ways to react in public. There is a place for all of that — but it can crowd out the quieter pleasure of simply looking.
lifestill takes the opposite approach: the work first, more later, and only if you want it.
What if we built the quiet gallery?
We asked ourselves: what if we stripped away everything that gets in the way, and left only what matters?
So each work arrives on its own — no name, no date, no caption. Just the piece, softly lit, with space around it. You get to meet it on your own terms first.
Then, when you’ve had the chance to truly look, two quiet options appear beneath the work: reveal the artist and reveal the interesting facts. Tap either, and we’ll share the story — who made it, when, and the small details that make it sing. Leave them closed, and the work stays exactly as it met you. The information is there when you want it, never before.
We added space — 60% of every screen is empty. Light — every work is re-lit to look like soft, single warm light. Sound — original quiet compositions written just for this space. Reverence — every piece is treated like a precious object in a private archive.
How we curate
We curate slowly, drawing from collections around the world. Works that hang in galleries and archives you may never have the chance to visit.
Every piece we choose is timeless, calm, and meaningful. No trends, no loud work, no busy scenes. Only work that holds silence, invites reflection, and feels right in a quiet space.
Your membership supports the careful selection, the soft presentation, the original soundscapes, and the calm of experiencing artwork without distraction or noise.
Privacy first
This is your space, completely.
We collect nothing. We store nothing. We track nothing. We share nothing. Ever.
Your responses, your collections, your thoughts — they live only on your device, or encrypted where you choose. We never see them, we never use them, we never sell them.
Privacy is not a feature here — it is the foundation.
Supporting craft
lifestill is built and run by Pixel & Script — a small studio of photographers, composers, and designers who believe in kind, mindful technology.
Your membership supports the quiet, thoughtful way we build things — the space, the curation, the soundscapes, and everything that makes this experience feel intentional and calm. No investors, no shareholders, no commercial pressure — just us, doing work we believe in, for people who value it.
